Mechanical Engineering Practice Group has 16 professionals, 10 of them are patent attorneys and 6 of them are patent assistants or technical consultants, and we also have 4 attorneys-at-law.

All of them earned their Master or Ph.D. degree in mechanical, physics, automatization and automation, precise instrumentations, metallurgy, materials, welding and casting, refrigeration and air-conditioning, auto engineering, thermal energy dynamical engineering, and related fields.

Furthermore, most attorneys in this group have extensive experiences in the field of scientific research, engineering design, product development or IP management. Also, some of the attorneys have been examiners or patent researchers in SIPO, and have extensive experiences in patent examining, examining process and so on.

Using their collective experience in a team approach, the group provides forward-looking strategic counsel to clients across many industries and law affairs regarding the fields of patent acquiring; drafting of patent specification; responding to the office action; patent consulting and searching; and patent reexamination, invalidation and litigation. In particular, they have strong ability and abundant experience in legal affairs, such as handling complicate and difficult reexamination cases and patent invalidation cases, patent infringement analyzing and providing legal position papers, licensing and technology transfer, patent investigation, administrative enforcement of patents, patent litigation, contracting and so on.

The group’s IP attorneys are backed by the full multi-disciplinary, and can confidently handle any type of IP-related matters, in any jurisdiction, and at any stage in the growth and development of our clients' IP assets.
